Various factors can directly impact the prosperity of society. We address these factors and give our full support to mitigate them for the betterment of the community.

Helping children in orphanages,Supporting persons with disabilities,Leadership development and capacity building,Promoting attitude change in the general population,Valuing socially impactful individuals,Prevention of drug addiction,Prevention of human trafficking and unsafe migration.

We successfully completed the ECCT Project (Empowering CSOs to Combat Human Trafficking in Sri Lanka) as a proud partner of SAFE Foundation, the main recipient of this initiative.

Entertainment and Care

An entertainment program with dinner was organized for the boys at Ashoka Boys Orphanage, Anuradhapura, who are growing up without parental care.

Plastic chairs were distributed to communities around the areas of our Lotus Club branches for use during common functions and gatherings.

A leadership training program for Lotus Club leaders was held at Creston Park Hotel, Anuradhapura to build stronger internal leadership capacity.

A leadership training program specifically for women community leaders was conducted at Pavithrapura Community Hall.

Anniversary Celebration

The anniversary of Lotus Club was celebrated with the participation of Hon. Chandrani Bandara, Minister of Women and Children’s Affairs. Gifts were presented to some of our most active members.

Women Empowerment Workshop

A capacity-building program for women leaders, conducted by consultant Mr. Duminda Weerasinghe, was held at the Anuradhapura District Chamber of Commerce Industry Agriculture Auditorium.

Supporting Inclusive Livelihoods

Lotus Club decided to source T-shirts from a small garment facility operated by blind women workers. We also reached out to other organizations to support their livelihoods.

Meaningful Social Media Use

A weekly competition titled “The Picture of the Week” was launched on social media to encourage the public to use digital platforms positively and creatively.

Partnership with SAFE Foundation

A section of the Lotus Club recognized as a partner of the USAID Human Trafficking and Safe Migration Project by SAFE Foundation. Officials from SAFE Foundation visited the Lotus Club office to collect baseline data.

Project Inception & Agreement

01.07.2022

Our team participated in the first official training under the USAID Human Trafficking and Safe Migration Project at Ceybank Rest, Anuradhapura. The project agreement was also signed on this day.

Local Counseling Leader Training

A training program began at our office to prepare 25 women as local psychology counselors to help solve family and social issues within their communities.

Child Welfare Assessment

In partnership with Save the Children, we hosted a session to assess the safety, education, social, and mental well-being of children working in the tourism sector, at our Lotus Club office.

Entertainment for Community

An event titled “Shalom”, organized in collaboration with SFU, was held at the 3rd Stage Shanthi Multitask & Funeral Committee Hall, bringing joy and relaxation to the community.

ECCT Awareness Training

A training workshop for Migrant Association Officers (NNP) related to the ECCT project was conducted at Ceybank Resort to strengthen safe migration awareness.

Community Health Awareness

As part of the TISL project, a community health information and awareness program was conducted at Lotus Club premises.
