Our main service is to empower the community with a strong, positive attitude.Activities are organized to educate parents and children about the importance and value of education.We provide financial aid, scholarships, and other facilities for low-income and talented students in our service areas.We provide a platform for language learning, vocational training, and other educational enhancements.

Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for School Library
On 2004.05.08, the foundation stone was laid at Pairamaduwa School, a remote institution facing poor facilities, to build a library. This initiative was made possible by funding from Ajith Kossinna and his clients in Australia, who raised funds through a musical performance by their band “Brislankans” in Brisbane. Mr. Ajith Kossinna and the late veteran journalist Mr. Karunadhasa Sooriyaarachchi (Kasuri) also participated.

Library Handover at Pairamaduwa School
A library hall constructed at Pairamaduwa School was handed over to the students. The project was completed with a donation of Rs. 100,000 from Mr. Ajith Kossinna and his friends, along with support from the Lions Club of Anuradhapura Metropolitan.

Annual Stationery Donation Initiative
A decision was made by the board of directors to annually distribute stationery and school items to children from low-income families within the Anuradhapura Nuwaragam Palatha East Divisional Secretariat. The first program under this initiative was held on 2013.01.07 at Jayanthi Mawatha, Anuradhapura.

Book Donation Program – Jayanthi Mawatha
Continued support was provided to low-income families in Jayanthi Mawatha with a school book donation program in 2014.

Book Donation Program – Mihindupura
In 2015, with assistance from the Anuradhapura Municipal Council, a book donation program was held in Mihindupura.

Book Donation Program – Jayanthi Mawatha
On 12.01.2015, the educational division of Lotus Club organized the annual book donation program for low-income families in Jayanthi Mawatha.

Positive Thinking Training for Housewives at Kodigala, Shrawasthipura
A training session focused on positive thinking for housewives was conducted at Pragathi Bank Hall, Shrawasthipura, on 09.12.2015.

Book Donation Program – Mailagas Junction
Annual school book donation program for 2016 took place in the Mailagas Junction area of Anuradhapura.

Book Donation Program – Stage 2 Area
A book donation program was also held in Stage 2 area of Anuradhapura in 2016.

Book Donation Program – Yasasiripura
Yasasiripura area of Anuradhapura benefited from the 2016 book donation program.

Book Donation Program Inauguration Ceremony – Jayanthi Mawatha
The 2017 book donation ceremony was held on 2017.01.07 in Jayanthi Mawatha, with Honorable Minister of Child and Women Affairs, Mrs. Chandrani Bandara and North Central Provincial Council member Mr. Aruna Buddika Gunasekara participating.

Book Donation Program – DFCC Collaboration
Held on 28.12.2017 at Anuradhapura Municipal Council No.2 Community Hall, this program was supported by DFCC Bank officers.

Launch of "Uthurumedin" Newspaper
A newspaper titled “Uthurumedin” was launched to educate the public on attitude changes. The first volume was presented to several prominent figures, including the chief incumbent of Ruwanweliseya, Rev. Pallegama Hemarathana Thero; the chief incumbent of historic Mirisawetiya Maha Viharaya, Rev. Eethala Wetunuwewa Gnanathilaka Thero; the coordinating officer of the Civil Service Organization in the District Secretariat, Mr.Sumith Rathnayake; the ex-chairman of the Anuradhapura Traders Association, Mr.Ranjith Jayasinghe; and veteran journalist and media personality Mr. Maminiyawe Ilangasinghe.

Book Donation Program – Lotus Club Office
Held on 12.03.2019 and 19.03.2019, 200 low-income families received stationery parcels for their school children. Mr. P. Sugathadasa, proprietor of Kids Walk Children Dresspoint; Mrs. Shanthi Liyanage, owner of the Suwa Shanthi Pvt. Hospital; and Mr.Sunil Premarathne, proprietor of Auto Tyre Ways Anuradhapura, extended their kind contribution for the project.

Book Donation Program for 2020 – Sarana Sewana Orphanage
On 28.12.2019, 40 schoolgirls from Sarana Sewana Orphanage received stationery packs.

Motivation Program – Motivation to A/L
A motivational session titled “Motivation to A/L” was conducted on 25.08.2020 for students who entered Anuradhapura Central College passing the 2019 O/L exam.

Book Donation – Sarana Sewana Orphanage
On 06.01.2021, a book donation event was held for students at Sarana Sewana girls’ orphanage, attended by Mr. Sumith Rathnayake, coordinating officer of Civil Service Organizations in the Anuradhapura District Secretariat.

Launch of a Small Library
On 07.01.2022, Lotus Club launched a small library to encourage reading, with donations from members and future development plans underway.
19.
English Speaking Camp
To enhance members’ English proficiency, an English-speaking camp was launched on 25.01.2022 with Mr. Anil Samarasinghe as the service provider.
20.
Nelum Sisu Udana Scholarship Program
“Nelum Sisu Udana” was decided to be launched on 15.03.2022 to support children of members excelling in Grade 5 Scholarship, O/L, and A/L examinations.
The first scholarship (Rs. 2,500) was awarded to Sasen Nadith Kumarasinghe for passing the grade 5 scholarship examination on 25.05.2022.
A scholarship was also awarded to Pansilu Harshan for entering the University of Jaffna after passing the G.C.E. A/L examination.
On 2022.08.11, stationery worth Rs. 2,500 each was given to about 40 girls at Sarana Sewana Orphanage, with donations from Anuradhapura Municipal Council through the Council Member Mr.Nadeera Prabhath.

Student Counseling Program
A counseling session was conducted by the Education Sector of Lotus Club on 2023.03.04 to support students’ mental health and resilience.
