As an agricultural country, we promote and educate the community to engage in farming—even in small residential plots or unused containers.We work to resolve lobbying issues affecting farmers and raise them with relevant authorities.We educate on soil protection and techniques to enhance soil quality.We introduce new agricultural techniques and equipment.We supply raw materials, enhance skills, connect to markets, and provide financial assistance to the agriculture sector.

Distribution of Mango Plants – 2019

On 11.04.2019, 100 high-quality mango plants were distributed among Lotus Club members and selected non-members to be planted during the auspicious time of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. This initiative, under the Agricultural Division, was made possible through the generous support of Mr. Chandima Mahindasoma, Member of Parliament for the Kekirawa electorate. Mr. Samantha Epa, Secretary to the MP, also graced the event with his presence.

Distribution of Jackfruit Plants

With the sponsorship of Mr. Prabath Dharmadasa, Minister of the Municipal Council, 200 jackfruit plants were distributed to individuals passionate about home gardening and agriculture, including many Lotus Club members.
